U11 HL - Littlechild, U11 HL (Northumberland Minor Hockey)

On Thursday, June 16, 2022, the Cobourg Cougars Jr. A Hockey Club and the Town of Cobourg have teamed up to host a Blue Rodeo live concert at the Cobourg Community Centre (CCC). In an effort to give back and help support minor hockey, they have graciously included partnerships with the NMHA.   The NMHA is a very fortunate minor hockey association!  We are in a favourable financial position and instead of fund-raising for our own association, we have decided to donate our proceeds to the Northumberland Bulldogs Special Needs Hockey Program.

Let me introduce you to the Murphy Family! This past weekend the NMHA held its Wrap Up Day for all of our House League players (Shannon is going to share all of that excitement with you), but I want to share a special a story that will help remind us all about what minor hockey is truly about! My job this weekend was to help take care of our U5 Division as they concluded their very first season as Nighthawks!

Good evening Nighthawk Families! Today we received some information that needs to be relayed immediately. As you are aware the mask mandate, along with other Covid related restrictions were lifted as of this Monday, March 21st.   Today, the Ontario Hockey Federation released information stating that they have made the decision to continue to maintain masking requirements for the remainder of the 2021-22 Minor Hockey Season. Hoping that this message finds you all well and healthy! I would like to answer many of the questions that we have been receiving regarding the impacts of the rising Covid numbers and your children participating in hockey. The NMHA has been fortunate to have been able to continue programming, relatively seamlessly so far this season.  We do have teams with positive cases (players, parents,coaches) but have been able to manage that effectively.

The NMHA is closely monitoring all information regarding COVID and the best steps for us to follow. Our players and families safety is most important, and you can trust that we are balancing all decisions in your best interest. Fortunately, the NMHA does not have any teams with Covid restrictions at this time.
