Executive Nominations for 2022/23
Submitted By Shannon Drumm on Fri 06 17, 22
Many thanks to the following individuals who have accepted their nominations for next season's Executive Committee.

Our AGM is on Monday June 20 at 6:30pm in the gym at the CCC.  This is an opportunity for our members to have their say in electing an Executive Committee that they feel best represents their needs and the needs of the membership as a whole.

A successful Executive should be comprised of a variety of different people, with different backgrounds, expertise and interests.  They should be fair, honest and willing to put in the time and efforts required to make our organization great.

All Nominees have provided a bio, please take a minute to read about these individuals.

ACCEPTED NOMINATIONS:

REGISTRAR -  Joanna McCulloch
Hello hockey families and players, my name is Joanna McCulloch and have been nominated for the Registrar position on the Executive Board for Northumberland Nighthawks.During the 2021/2022 hockey season, I had the pleasure to volunteer on my sons U13 AE Rep team as Manager.  What I enjoyed most about the role was getting to know and also supporting, all the players, families and coaches.  During the year, it was fun taking on some extra responsibilities (Santa parade, player card exchange, tournaments, etc.) to help make the season memorable for the kids. When I am not at the arena, you will most likely find me driving my three kids around town to all their sports and activities.  During the days, while the kids are at school, you’ll catch me out on the trails running, I’m currently training for an upcoming 100km trail race in August. I am so excited to have been nominated for the Registrar position, and look forward to the opportunity to take on a role with the NMHA organization.  For me, it will be a pleasure and honour to give back to the organization that my boys have been able to play for

ICE SCHEDULER- Patricia Flynn-Press
Our family is fortunate to be a part of the Nighthawks family, our son has played in our association for 5 years now, so we feel it is only right to give back, not only to the community, but to our great organization. I very much want to do my part to ensure that the organization as a whole, puts the kids first and supports our children to grow with confidence and maturity while playing the game we all love.In my business life, I am an Account Manager for a large graphics company where scheduling plays a role in my daily duties.  Prior to this, my husband and I ran our own company for 20 years where I pull from my experience, organizational and problem solving skills to successfully take on the role again of Ice Scheduler for the NMHA.

ICE SCHEDULER - Jodie Metcalfe
Hi I am Jodi Metcalfe.  I am a Mother of 4 and have been involved with hockey for more than 15 yrs, but have only been part of the executive for the last 3 yrs. I started volunteering as a convenor in Atom (U11 HL) and have gradually increased my involvement.I volunteer for the kids and so that they can have a great hockey experience!!!!
