Effective
September 22, 2021, everyone 12 years and older, who are wishing to enter our facilities (CCC and Jack Burger) must show proof of identification and proof of being exempt.
Some of the
exemptions include:
*All players 12-17 years of age and above who are in the facility for the sole purpose of actively participating in hockey.
*Proof of being fully vaccinated is not required for our volunteers, including coaches and officials.
Simply, unless you are eligible for an exemption and are able to provide proof, you
WILL NOT be allowed to access our facilities for the purposes of watching hockey.
ie) Players 12 years of age and above
WILL be required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated if they wish to access the arena to watch a game
ie) Volunteers/Coaches
WILL be required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated if they wish to access the arena to watch a game
You will only be exempt from providing proof of vaccination while you are actively fulfilling the duty outlined in the exemption.
*Please note that all parents who are unable to access our facilities, but have minor aged children participating in hockey or wanting to be a spectator
MUST make arrangements for supervision while they are in the facility. The facilities and the NMHA
WILL NOT be able to provide this.
The
OMHA Vaccination Policy will remain unchanged. As of
October 31st t
he OMHA requires that the following, be fully Vaccinated against COVID-19:

Players born in 2009 or earlier
-
Team Officials (Coaches, Trainers and Managers, etc.)

Game Officials (referees, linespersons, timekeepers, etc.)

Association Officials (minor hockey association directors, officers, executive and staff)
-
OMHA Officials (directors, officers, executive and staff, including hockey development personnel)
-
Volunteers
-
Instructors (third parties engaged by Associations or Teams to provide specialized instruction (e.g.,
power skating, goaltending coaching)
I am very much aware at the upset and additional stress that this new policy has caused several of our families. I am appreciative of the many discussions that I have had with you over the past few weeks as we try to navigate these rules together to best meet the needs of our families.
