Thank you Nighthawks

Happy Sunday,

As we are approaching the end of our season, I would like to reach out and communicate with you all.

The tentative date for our final games was set to be March 28th, please be aware that this may be extended by a few days to accommodate all of our teams ice times.

With the recent closure of the Bowl, we have found ourselves with very limited options for ice and have been juggling things to ensure that all teams are looked after.

The Bowl closure, coupled with the shutdown in December has made for some very tricky scheduling dilemmas. We are doing our best to make sure that everyone will receive as equal amounts of ice time as possible - but this will not be an exact science! Some teams will have a few more games, others will have a few additional practices, but overall, everyones times will be very comparable to each other.  We appreciate your understanding.

We all began this season, with no indication that we would actually reach the "game stage" of hockey.  Our initial goal was to simply have a "Development" season.  We offered all teams; multiple sessions with War Horse Hockey, and broke into practice teams with our coaches.  All of our 4v4 games have been much welcomed bonuses!

The uncertainty of our season, the ongoing changes, and the multiple hoops that we have had to navigate, and have you and your families jump through have been very tough.  That being said, your continued support has been outstanding and your players happy faces and rosey cheeks after they get off of the ice have reinforced that continuing with our hockey season during this very challenging year has been well worth it!

The sun is shining brighter, the snow is melting away and we will find ourselves transitioning out of hockey and into our Spring and Summer activities.  Enjoy the last few weeks, be sure to thank your coaches, trainers, all of the volunteers and each other.  Without all of you, none of this would have ever been possible.

With much appreciation,

Michelle Brown
President
