House League Championship Day!
Submitted By Michelle Brown on Mon 03 09, 20
This past weekend all of our House League players hit the ice to battle it out for the Division Championships.

Their final games were tight battles, several going to OT before a decision could be rendered.

Many thanks to our VP of House League; Jodi Metcalfe and her crew of helpers for all of their efforts in ensuring such a fun day for all of our Nighthawks.  A big shout out to all of our outstanding volunteers (coaches, trainers, convenors) who helped to make our House League season a fun and successful one, and a special thanks to all of our players for showing up every week, bringing their enthusiasm, sportsmanship and skill to our minor hockey program.

The memories and friendships that you are creating on the ice, in the locker room and beyond will last a lifetime.

The Nighthawks House League Program is home to more than half of our players and the place where all of our rep players began.  The entire reason behind this fantastic program is to teach our beloved game of hockey to the youth in our community, to offer an opportunity for a healthy, fun and fitness based activity and to give all kids a place to make connections and belong.

The arenas were absolutely buzzing on Saturday as the players laced up their skates for one last hurrah with their teammates.  With smiles on their faces, medals around their necks and bags slung over their shoulders - it is clear to see that these kids know what hockey is all about - FUN!

Congrats to you all on you successful seasons, enjoy your spring and summer break, and we look forward to seeing you all again in the fall!
