Nighthawks and Wild Girls Join forces!
Submitted By Michelle Brown on Sat 02 29, 20
The Northumberland Nighthawks and the West Northumberland Wild Girls Hockey teamed up to do some good this past week!

Chris Crooks and his wife Paula Cziranka both used to teach in the Cobourg area and are now teaching in Cambridge Bay, Nunavut. This small community of 1,700 in the Kitikmeot region has a very high need for hockey equipment, and we are fortunate that Chris and Paula have generously offered to deliver our donations.

Just like in Northumberland, the kids in this northern community share the same love and passion for the sport and we are so happy to be able to help provide them with the needed equipment.

Many thanks to our Equipment Manager; Bob Harper for representing the Nighthawks and coordinating our donations of jerseys, goalie pads and many other items.

Love the community spirit and coordination of efforts between The Nighthawks and our friends at The Wild.
