An EXCITING Tournament Weekend!
Submitted By Michelle Brown on Mon 01 13, 20
This weekend, we saw many of our Nighthawk teams travelling away from home to compete in some very prestigious tournaments!

All of them are returning with fun stories, some amazing memories and a few even have some hardware proudly hanging around their necks!

The Preston International Hockey Tournament was a very popular choice for several of our Rep Teams this year.

The entire tournament was filled with very tough competition, and we are so excited that our Lakeridge Chrysler Minor Peewee AE group were crowned Champions at the end of it all.  The were victorious over the Kitchener Jr. Rangers 1-0 in a very tight final game.

Our Atom House League - Team Red and the Atom AE team, both travelled North up Highway 28 to represent us in the Peterborough Lift Lock Tournament.  This is a very long standing, Atom hockey tournament that has been well attended for decades by what was once the Port Hope Phantoms, the Cobourg Cougars and the now Northumberland Nighthawks.

In the Atom HL - Team Red's tournament debut - this group battled, undefeated all the way to the finals where they were edged out by 1 goal to their opponent.  These champs are returning home Silver medalists!

Both of these teams represented us very well and should be very proud of their accomplishments.

The Atom AE group faced some very stiff competition, but competed hard and were thrilled to come back as the Consolation Champions!

Kudos to you all for your hardwork and tremendous efforts this weekend!
