What a successful weekend!
Submitted By Michelle Brown on Monday, October 22, 2018
This past weekend, we saw 41 Teams visit Northumberland to participate in our first class, Annual Justin Williams AA Tournament.

Tournaments of this caliber do not happen without a ton of organization, planning and volunteering.  Many thanks to our President; Todd Gimblett for assuming the role of Tournament Director and for investing a tremendous amount of time to ensure that this weekend went off without a hitch.

We would also like to thank all of the visiting teams for choosing our Tournament - we hope that you had a great time in Northumberland and look forward to seeing you again next year.

A very special SHOUT OUT to our 3 Nighthawk teams that battled their way to the finals.

The Quantrills Bantam AA and Behan Minor Midget AA boys came up against two very strong teams in their final game, and in true Nighthawks fashion, they rallied together, played hard and both teams edged out their competition 2-1 and were crowned Justin Williams Tournament Champions for their outstanding effort.  Congratulations to you all!

The Justin Williams Hockey School Peewee AA group had a very fun and long run this weekend as well.  They won their semi final game in OT, then went on to force OT again in the finals.  Unfortunately, they lost in a shoot out, but what an exciting way to conclude their tournament weekend!  Well done!

A Big Congratulations to the winners of each division:

Novice AA - Quinte West Hawks
Atom AA - Rideau St. Lawrence Kings
Minor Peewee AA - Ted Reeve Thunder
Peewee AA - Kanata Blazers
Bantam AA - Northumberland Nighthawks
Minor Midget AA - Northumberland Nighthawks
Midget AA - Whitby Wildcats
