Exciting News for our Cross Ice Program
Submitted By Michelle Brown on Thu 08 16, 18
Hello Everyone!

Thank you all so very much for your patience while we reevaluated, and tweaked our Hockey Programming for our little players, for the upcoming season.

We understand your concerns with the Hockey Canada mandated, cross ice programming, but at the same time, we trust their vision and support their decision to revamp how hockey is introduced to children across Canada.  And with all of the research supporting this transition, how could we not jump on board with excitement!

We have evaluated how we can best roll this plan out for the members in our association and trust that you will be as excited as we are with the program.

Starting this year, we will be offering Development 6 and Development 7 programming.  Next season, we will add Development 8 to the program so that we fall in line with Hockey Canada's expectations.

cross_ice.jpgUltimately, we are very happy to be able to offer more development programming for our players. Our new Skill Development and Power Skating providers have both agreed to extend their expertise beyond our rep Hockey Program and will now work with our Development 6 & 7, House League, and our Select Teams.

The growing pains that you may be feeling due to the cross-ice restrictions, should hopefulley be soothed by the additional development, and extra opportunities that we are offering.

Looking forward to welcoming you and your family to another fantastic year as Nighthawks!

If you have any questions, please contact our Director of Development, Andrew Cullen.

I have attached a PDF with an overview of the program for you to review the specifics.
