NMHA Updates

Just a few items to keep you all in the loop!

In addition to these regular "Newsletters", I will be continuing to showcase some of the amazing people that we have within our organization with our "Nighthawks Spotlight".

If you are aware of a player, coach, or volunteer that has done something outstanding, something community minded or is in need of a shout out - please email me the details so that we can recognize those who go above and beyond and represent us in the very best light.

Registration
Tomorrow night from 6-8pm,at the CCC, we will be hosting our final Early Bird In Person Registration.  If you have not registered yet, I honestly can not encourage you enough to come out and save yourself $100/player in your family.  Our Early Bird Registration deal expires August 1st at midnight - so don't delay (any more than you already have!).  It will likely be a very busy evening, so come prepared with your registration forms completed, and cash/cheque or credit card ready.

Sadly, if you should miss the deadline, our Registrar has Kindly organized additional In Person Registrations on August 20th and September 10th from 6-8pm at the CCC.

Convenors Needed
Our Rep Hockey season is set to begin very shortly, and the House League season is taking shape behind the scenes.  We are still looking for a Convenor for the Jr IP and Novice Divisions.  This is a fun, organizational, not "too" committing position - which is perfect for any of you! If you have some time to volunteer, and would like to take on this role, please contact our VP of House League, Jack Filce.

Select Hockey

This year, we are aiming to get the ball rolling earlier for our Nighthawk Select teams.  In advance of the beginning of our House League, we would like to have our Select Coaches in place, so that they may attend evaluation skates, and have an easier viewing of the available players.  If you are interested in coaching a Select team, please email our Select Coordinator, Jodi Metcalfe. and put your name forward for consideration.

Sponsorship
The NMHA has been fortunate to have such amazing, generous sponsors over the past few years.  Your support, allows us to provide our players with a safe, fun and quality experience on and off the ice.  We would like to invite any local businesses that are interested in sponsoring a team this year to please contact our Director of Administration, Chad Stewart for additional information.

Justin Williams
This past week, if you were around the CCC, you likely got the opportunity to watch many of our Nighthawk players participating, in the fast, intense and fun Justin Williams Hockey Camp.  Many thanks to Ryan Mullins for continuing to organize this camp in Northumberland, for so many of our own players and community to benefit from. Check out this clip from Global News to see some of the highlights!
