Nighthawks Playoff Action
Submitted By Michelle Brown on Sat 03 17, 18
The sun is shining, and the spring thaw is beginning, but that doesn't mean that hockey is over quite yet!

The Bantam AA team has advanced all the way to the coveted OMHA Finals!  This is quite an amazing achievement and they should be congratulated thus far.  They are facing their toughest competition this year in their worthy opponents; the Burlington Eagles Gold team.  However, based on their tremendous successes this season, it should be a fantastic series.

We also are happy to have two teams, both which have made it to the Lakeshore Finals.  The Atom AA and Atom AE teams have made it to the very top of their divisions and are playing against their strongest Lakeshore rivals of the season.  The Atom AE team is taking on their Peterborough counterparts and the Atom AA team is making the trek to play the new North Durham Warriors.

We are also rooting for our Novice AA team as they are in competition with the Peterbourough Petes for their opportunity to advance to the Lakeshore Finals as well!

We are wishing all of the teams still competing in playoffs a very successful run!

A big shout out also needs to go out to the MD7 team who won the Preliminary and Regular season in the Lakeshore League.  They are now playing in the Lakeshore League Tournament, March 23-25 in Oshawa, and should they advance, they will represent the Nighthawks in the York-Simcoe-Lakeshore cup.  The very best of luck to you guys!
