U18AA Silver Stick Champions
Our U18AA Nighthawks competed in the Pembroke Regional Silver Stick tournament over the weekend.
The team was 2-0-1 in Round Robin play. Sunday was a long day with the boys hitting the ice at 8am for their 3rd game in Pembroke. They needed a high scoring game to move them into the Semi Finals. Final score was 7-2 over the Upper Ottawa Valley Aces.
Semi Final Game was against against the Ottawa Silver Seven whom the team had tied in RR. They got the win they needed with a final score of 3-2.
Championship match up was against the Halton Hills Thunder. Our Nighthawks came out on top to be crowned the Champs and earn their spot in the International Silver Stick Tournament Jan 17-19 (Sarnia).
This is a fun, gritty, never give up, determined, supportive and talented bunch of 16-17 year olds. Congrats Nighthawk players, coaches and families on the BIG win this weekend.
