2005 U18AA and U18A player appreciation
Submitted By Shannon Drumm on Thu 03 09, 23
On Wed March 1 & Wed March 8 the NMHA honoured our 2005 players on both the U18AA and U18A teams as they played their final Round 1 playoff game at home as a Nighthawk.

This is an emotional experience for the players and parents as we know that the hours spent at the rink, on the road and in minor hockey tournaments has come to an end.

For many parents (myself included), it's been 14 yrs of devotion to my son and his team to be the best he can be and support his love for the game.  It's been an amazing journey for all our aging out players over the years - some good years, some tough ones with some seasons being more successful than others. Such is life when you play sports!

To all our young players and parents - I leave you with a reminder to enjoy each and every season because as we know all good things must come to an end and this is one of them.

Congratulations to all the 2005 U18AA & A players on a great minor hockey career with the NMHA.  Take the skills and life lessons you have gained over the years and apply them in your future endeavours. Never forget the memories you made with your fellow hockey teammates along the way.

Special Thanks to Quinn's Flowers in Cobourg for the beautiful floral bouquets that were presented to each player
