I have been involved in hockey since I was 3 years old. My family has always said that I learned to
skate before I could walk. I have played for Port Hope Beaver Athletic,
Northumberland Nighthawks and West Northumberland Wild throughout my hockey
career.
In the past, I have always been involved in hockey one way
or another. There has not been one season of hockey since I was three, that I did
not end up at the rink, if I was not on the ice then I was timekeeping for the
league. From September to May, my life is Work, Hockey, Eat and Sleep.
This season will be my fifth season coaching for the
Northumberland Nighthawks and I could not be more excited. I have coached the
U10/11 house league, U15 Select, U21 house league and last season, I was the U10
A head coach for the Nighthawks. I loved coaching at a competitive level and be
able to help younger players learn the game and enjoy it as much as I do. I,
currently, am Coached Level 2 Certified.
Along with my coaching career, I spend much more time in the
arenas around Northumberland as I am the Head Timekeeper for the Northumberland
Nighthawks. This required me to hire, train and schedule timekeepers for all
home games during the hockey season.
