U8 MD Ends Their Season All Smiles
Our U8 MD Northumberland Nighthawks ended their season playing what Head Coach, Mike Whelan called "their best hockey of the season" at the Lakeshore League Jamboree, last weekend. The kids sharpened their skates and their skills as they faced teams from Quinte West, Oshawa Red, Orono and Otonabee.
CONGRATULATIONS to our U8 MD players and coaches on a successful season!
ABOUT U8 MD...
U8 MD is an optional alternative to House League and is intended for families who feel their child is ready for a slightly higher level of commitment, development, and team experience—while still keeping hockey fun, age-appropriate, and player focused. For many families, this program serves as a natural bridge between U7 House League and future Rep hockey.
What is a Jamboree? This is a tournament-style format of play where games that are competitive and fun, but no standings are kept.
Prep Skates and Tryouts for U8 MD and all divisions, for the 2026-27 season will be available online soon...
