On Saturday November 29th both the Port Hope and Cobourg Santa Claus Parades will take place and we want to score big in this year's event (both of them). NMHA has entered a float and now we need a team of kids and parents to join us for some festive fun, walking either parade (or both if you feel extra jolly).
We have a theme (it's top secret) and we will have a small float (for our little elves).
Now we are looking for help!
Planning Committee: We are looking for 8-10 volunteers to assist with planning and decorating the float. If interested, please contact
Kelly Nicholas, Communications Officer. Our float has two names (cause we couldn't pick just one). For Port Hope Parade we are: A Very Nighthawks Christmas. For Cobourg we are: Twas the Nighthawks Before Christmas (keeping with their Storybook theme this year).
Parade Elves: We also need volunteers to walk in the parades. You'll need to dress warm and throw on your Nighthawks gear (any jersey or jacket will do). Please fill out the
Volunteer form to be a participant in the parade.
Parade Details for each are as follows:
Port Hope Parade Details:
- starts at 1pm sharp; meet at 12:30pm (location TBD)
- parade route: starts at the
intersection of Ridout and Bramley, finishing at Town Hall. Duration is approximately 1hr 15 minutes.
Cobourg Parade Details:
- starts at 6pm sharp; meet at 5:30pm (location TBD)
- parade route: starts at the Cobourg Public Library, goes along King St. and ends at Victoria Park. Duration is approximately 1hr.
