Happy Thanksgiving
Wishing all families in the NMHA a wonderful, happy and healthy Thanksgiving Weekend.

I would like to share my appreciation and sincere thanks to all of you!

First and foremost, our players!  The complete foundation and reason for every Minor Hockey Association.  We all work together to ensure that you have a fun, affordable, and safe opportunity to play the sport that all of you love so much.  Your smiles are huge, your excitement is palpable and when you are out in the community, proudly representing the Nighthawks with you swag, you remind all of us exactly why we help!

Our NMHA Families. you have had a challenging couple of years helping to facilitate hockey for your children.  Covid has presented more obstacles and rules than anyone should ever have to contend with.  You have had to make decisions that have never been a consideration for participating in hockey before and I wish it was much simpler. However, I am still very appreciative of your support, your patience and the trust that you place in us.

And last, but certainly not least, all of our outstanding volunteers!  The NMHA is one of the only Minor Hockey Associations without a paid staff.  The entire backbone of this operation is built on the goodwill and generosity of volunteers.  Our coaches, bench staff, managers, Ref in Chief, Timekeeper in Chief, Tournament Chair and Executive staff are all more than willing to dedicate their time to help provide the very best and most fun experience for the youth in our community.  They certainly don't have the time required, but somehow, they always seem to find it.

I am overwhelmed when I think about the sheer volume of work that it takes to run a simple hockey season, but I am equally amazed and impressed at the time that our volunteers collectively put in to make it happen.

Quite simply, I am thankful for you all.
