SEASON DETAILS FOR PARENTS AND PLAYERS!
Coaches Introduction and Expectations.
Hi Everyone,
I had hoped to have a more Formal platform to meet / introduce myself to everyone but sadly covid protocols have restricted this.
My name is Shawn Cochrane and i am very excited about the opportunity to Coach such an amazing group of talented Hockey Players. For those of you that do not know me, my Philosophy is to develop without forgetting the importance of having FUN and building CONFIDENCE! POSITIVE ENVIRONMENT will be one of our greatest assets!
I will surround the players with a coaching staff that shares the same philosophy, and that ALL players are valued equally! Every player from the goalie out will be used every night! My goal is to build a confident TEAM not a select Few.
The players still involved are very close to making this hockey team! Although there will be some disappointment i truly hope they will remain motivated and lead their respective teams going forward.
I will make every effort to meet all of you before tryouts complete! Please introduce yourselves , its very important to me and you truly are a big part of the this TEAM going forward.
Team Fees are still being discussed and will be released soon! $2000 would be a fair estimate. Fundraising etc to be voted on that could affect our Fees +or - .
3 Tournaments .
St Catherine's Early Bird - October. Used to set the ground work in game play / effort and Team building. Hotels have been booked.
Kingston Tournament - November. Hotels booked.
Barrie Tournament- January. Hotels being negotiated.
Team attire. TBD ( Covid Protocols may affect )
For me this is a new beginning, a fresh start with a new TEAM!! Parents please share the same feelings and philosophy of TEAM! I need ALL of you on board!!
If you have any questions or concerns please respect the 24hour rule. Saying that i would prefer a phone call over emails/texts as the sensitivity can be lost or missed.
