Battle Tested
Friday night Oshawa Generals came to town to try and take control of the Nighthawks on their home soil.

The Minor Atom AE Nighthawks stormed out of the gate with 4 goals in the first period.  This was a chippy affair from puck drop to the final buzzer.  The Oshawa Generals came out in the second period to let the Nighthawks know they were not to be outdone and scored early in the second period.  The second period was a back and forth battle with Northumberland notching a late goal with a second left on the clock to take a 5-1 lead into the third.  The aggressive play continued in the third with an unusual suspect making his way on the game sheet as Sawyer Brown took his first penalty of the year when he got into a small incident with an Oshawa player that saw both players get 2 minutes in the sin bin.  Oshawa scored midway in the third to make it 5-2 but not to be outdone the Nighthawks prevailed and scored again to make the final 6-2.  The Nighthawks carry a 8 and 3 record into a weekend against 2 formidable foes.  Belleville makes its first appearance at the CCC Friday night and then the Nighthawks travel to Whitby Sunday afternoon to take on the Wildcats.
Let's Go Minor Atom AE team.
