The Northumberland Nighthawks MD7 team have returned home from the Oshawa Hockeyfest Tournament as Champions!!!
The Nighthawks went undefeated along the way!!!

On Friday in their first game they defeated the Port Perry Predators 9-1. Later in the day the Nighthawks tied the Guelph Gryphons 5-5. The Nighthawks had to fight back from a 4-1 deficit with 7 minutes remaining and finally tying the score with 13 seconds remaining.
On Saturday the Nighthawks defeated the Garden City Falcons 8-2; with the win the Nighthawks finished the round robin with a record of 2-0-1, advancing them to the semi finals on Sunday versus the hometown Oshawa White Generals.
The Nighthawks started the semi finals off slow and were down 3-0 just minutes into the game, but they battled back and won 5-4 which sent them to the tournament championship.
In the finals the Nighthawks faced the other hometown team, the Oshawa Red Generals. Again the Nighthawks started off slow and were down 2-0 and 3-1, but again they fought back to win 5-4 to bring home the gold!!!
